Fall Mini Sessions FAQ - What to Expect the Day of Your Outdoor Family Photoshoot

Updated: Nov 14, 2020

Fall Mini Sessions Toronto

1. What are Fall mini-sessions all about?

There is a high demand at certain times of the year for family portraits with fall being the most popular. Fall Mini-sessions help me accomodate more families since the sessions are shorter and booked one after another. These shorter sessions are perfect for families that want updated family portraits but don't necessarily need or want to spend too much time required with a full photography session. Our mini-sessions are usually only 15-20 minutes per family photoshoot so priced lower compared to a full family session.

2. What should we wear?

My number one tip is "Be comfortable with your outfit choice". I don't think you can ever be too fancy for a photoshoot - add a bow tie or a sequin dress! Its best to coordinate colours but don't be too matchy-matchy. Avoid big logos, characters or brand labels.  I personally LOVE jewel tones for Fall (mustard yellow, navy blue, emerald green, burgundy). Have a patterned dress that you love to wear? Take some colours from within the pattern and bring those colors into your family members outfits. Lots of layers and textures look great and accessories are also good for adding little splashes of colour. I recommend that families coordinate rather than be too matchy-matchy. Instead, just choose a basic color palette and go from there!  Need a little help and inspiration when planning outfits for your fall mini-shoot? 3. When should we arrive?

Because we book these fall mini-sessions back-to-back, there is no wiggle room. If you are running late I unfortunately cannot give you extra time during your session since it would push back each session following. Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early (wait in the car if its cold), that way we can be sure to get all the photos you were hoping for of your beautiful family!

4. How many people can I bring with me?

These fall mini-sessions are designated for immediate families and children and unfortunately we cannot accommodate anyone that is not immediate family. If you would like to book a session with extended family I would recommend a full session, at least one hour long.

5. What is your cancellation policy?
