Newborn and Family Studio sessions are approx 4 hours in studio with breaks in between to feed and cuddle baby. I don't put a time limit on your session to ensure adequate time to feed, change & make your baby comfortable. Your newborn session includes individual newborn poses, family portraits, sibling portraits, as well as a separate poses with parents. 

I provide everything needed for your newborn session.  My portrait photography work is classic, and timeless. I have a large collection of props to choose from. I also have some toddler outfits as well - takes the guess work out of wondering what to wear!  The studio is divided into two separate rooms with a glass wall in between to ensure the shooting room is very warm while photographing your newborn.  This room is equipped with extra heaters to keep newborns warm and comfortable.  There is a comfortable sitting area for families that includes coffee, tea, TV and Wifi. Each Session includes the following: 

1. Photographers Time and Talent 

2. Professional Portrait Studio with Backdrops, Lighting and Props. 

3. Maternity Gowns & Professional make-up application is included for Maternity Sessions.  

4. Personalized Design Consultation by phone or in-person  

5. Portrait Session  (4-hours for Newborn Sessions |  1-hour for Maternity)

6. Artistic Rendering of Final Images (8-12 hours) 

7. Reveal and Ordering Appointment 2-3 weeks after your session (2 hours)

8. Full proofing gallery of  35+ Proof images to select your favourites in both colour and black + white

9. Product Delivery Approx 10-15 business days after Design approval

The best time for newborn photography is within the first month, ideally between 5-15 days old.  After two weeks, babies are a little harder to settle and things like colic and baby acne start to flare up.  I take on a very limited number of newborns per month to ensure my clients have flexibility in dates and to ensure quick turnaround time for edited galleries.  It is highly recommended to make a tentative booking around your estimated due date, at least 3 to 4 months in advance of your due date. Once your baby is born, you can contact me and we will arrange a suitable time and day for your session.  If your little one has already arrived, don’t worry, you’re not too late! Please contact me as soon as possible and I can try to schedule you in. 

Pamela Yool is an award-winning children's photographer based in Pickering, Ontario, Canada. She was also awarded Best and Family portrait photographers in Toronto for the past 6 years. She was nominated as 2018 Best New Emerging Child Photographer by the National Association of Professional Child Photographers (NAPCP). She has years of experience photographing children of all ages and abilities. She is currently the child and family photographer for the Ronald McDonald House in Toronto, About Face National Charity and many other organizations involving children and their families.
